With every journey there is a first step. This is a finished project from taking that first step in attempting to work with metals. Applying different chemicals and heat to copper foil created some interesting, unpredictable results. Applying an open flame to copper and brass mess altered the color though not necessarily where I chose. A rusted metal object and a few embellishments completed the assemblage.
This was a neat project to work on in a warm home on a bone-chilling day. I thank Him for allowing the creative juices to flow. I will be including this piece in one of my altered books and look forward to taking the next step of my journey.

Beautiful! Would like to see this larger - for some reason, when you click on the image it opens in another window, but isn't any larger than what you see on the blog page...thought you'd want to know!
